25 Fascinating Photos of Famous Writers at Home

Great photos of Famous Writers at home

Flavorwire

This week, we caught a glimpse of author Tao Lin’s Murray Hill apartment in this cheeky review over at Vice. Though somewhat alarmed at the squalor of Lin’s digs (seriously, can you blame us?), we found ourselves inspired to hunt down a few more shots of notable authors hanging out at home. After the jump, stop by and visit with everyone from Zora Neale Hurston to Paul Auster. Whose apartment would you most like to move into? Let us know in the comments.

  1. “Alarmed at the squalor of Lin’s digs” . .. Been there and I can tell Mr. Lin that he will feel much better upon tossing the things in his apartment that really are not necessary. Over the last year I have been renovating my condo. Have pitched one desk (given to me by a descendant of George Mason), got rid of my bed (the couch will do for now), gave a vacuum cleaner to someone who didn’t have one (what was I doing with two?),donated one recliner to a very nice man who wanted a comfortable seat for his ailing wife and will probably pulverize another this weekend in order to use the community trash removal.

Mr. Lin’s mother would likely raise hell if she saw the condition of his home. Mine sure would.
