West Virginia Field School

We arrived in Morgan county last night to begin the residential field school.  Eight GMU folklore students (six undergrad and two graduate) are learning how to conduct an community-based oral history and cultural documentation project.  The materials we collect will be part of the Norther Virginia Folklife Archive at GMU, but we will also leave copies of all our materials at the Berkeley Springs Museum and the West Virginia & Regional History Collect at West Virginia University.
